50 Cent Denies Claims That Fat Joe Hired Hitmen to Go After Him
50 Cent is stepping up to defend Fat Joe after explosive claims surfaced that the Bronx rap legend once tried to have him killed.
The G-Unit mogul took to Instagram to address a $20 million federal lawsuit filed by Fat Joe’s former hype man, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, who alleges that Joe hired a hitman to assassinate 50 Cent years ago.
In response, 50 posted an AI-generated image of himself alongside Fat Joe with a caption shutting down the allegations. “These baseless accusations and claims are not credible,” he wrote. “I’m sorry Joe has to endure the public scrutiny and damage to his reputation. THIS A STICK UP! 🤨”
Fat Joe commented on 50 Cent's post with a "100" emoji in support of the message.
Fat Joe’s legal team also fired back. His attorney, Joe Tacopina, told TMZ that Dixon’s lawsuit is a “blatant act of retaliation” over a separate civil suit that Fat Joe filed against Dixon. Tacopina called the claims “lies intended to damage his reputation and force a settlement through public pressure,” adding that law enforcement is already aware of what he describes as extortion attempts made by Dixon.
