Trump's DOJ Says Epstein Had No Client List, Sparks Backlash from Elon Musk
President Trump’s Department of Justice and the FBI have publicly stated that their review of the Jeffrey Epstein files revealed no evidence of a “client list” or attempts by Epstein to blackmail powerful individuals. They also claimed to have footage proving Epstein died by suicide, not murder.
The announcement has reignited debate online, especially among critics who have long questioned the circumstances of Epstein’s death and the government's handling of the case.
One of the loudest voices pushing back is Elon Musk, who has been engaged in a public feud with President Trump and has previously accused him of being connected to Epstein. Musk took to social media to question the DOJ’s findings and pointed out what many see as a glaring inconsistency.
“So... umm... then what is Ghislaine Maxwell in prison for? Stuff like this does not improve people’s faith in government,” Musk posted.
Musk’s criticism echoes a broader wave of skepticism across both social media and political circles. Many are demanding transparency about who, if anyone, was involved with Epstein and why no high-profile names have been held accountable—despite Maxwell’s conviction for aiding in Epstein’s sex trafficking operation.
As the controversy continues to grow, the DOJ’s statement appears to have raised more questions than it answered—especially under a Trump administration already facing scrutiny for its handling of politically sensitive investigations.
